Wisconsin Badgers vs. Ohio State Buckeyes Preview – Jan 10, 2024

by WagerHome Blog on January 10, 2024

The 2023-24 college basketball season continues to roll right along, and you should be looking to set up your own PPH site. There are a number of Big Ten Conference games scheduled for Wednesday night, but a big matchup in the Big Ten Conference is at the top of the list.

The Wisconsin Badgers are coming into this game with a record of 11-3, and they are currently ranked number 15 in the country. Ohio State has also had a terrific season, but they are still unranked besides sitting at 12-3 on the year.

The Big Ten Conference continues to be one of the best in the country, and it’s one that always attracts plenty of betting attention. Before digging into this game, here is a look at how WagerHome.com can help you get your PPH site up and running.

A Look at the Big Ten Battle

The Big Ten Conference appears to have a clear leader in the Purdue Boilermakers, but there is room for other teams to make a run. Two of those teams would include the Wisconsin Badgers and Ohio State Buckeyes, making this a really big game.

Wisconsin has actually started scoring some points this season as they are all the way up to 75 points per game. That’s not how the Badgers usually play, but guard A.J. Storr is leading the team with 14.7 points per game.

Ohio State has lost some serious talent over the last few years, but guard Bruce Thornton is still scoring 16.9 points per game. The Buckeyes are a team that wants to push the tempo, but they are at a size disadvantage in this matchup.

This is a game that is going to come down to the wire, and that is why there will be plenty of betting action on the matchup. Get your own PPH site up and running so you don’t miss out on the next big clash.

NCAA Football Week 13 Betting Picks

by WagerHome Blog on November 21, 2022

Rivalry week is upon us, and for the first time since 2006, we’re going to get Michigan-Ohio State with both teams undefeated. The stakes for the Big Ten, the NCAA Football Playoff, and the rivalry to end all rivalries, is enormous.

One of the strangest NCAA football results of last weekend was Tennessee, not just getting upset by unranked South Carolina, but getting blown out. Their hopes of sneaking into the CFP are now over, and the injury to quarterback Hendon Hooker has ended his season.

No. 3 Michigan (+7.5) at No. 2 Ohio State

For the 13th time in the history of THE Game, Michigan and Ohio State are both ranked in the top five. This is the 26th time they have both been in the top 10 and the 49th time both have been ranked. There simply is no college football rivalry in America that compares.

Neither team excelled in their tune-up NCAA football games, but the Buckeyes, at home, are the most likely of the two to go back to normal. But will a Michigan defense allowing just 12 points per game in the Big Ten really lose by more than a touchdown? No. OSU wins, but the Wolverines cover.

Auburn (+21.5) at No. 8 Alabama

There is no path for Alabama to make it into the College Football Playoff, so they are just going to have to settle for beating their in-state rival this Saturday. And it’s something they enjoy doing. Alabama has won the last two Iron Bowls, six of the last eight, and they will win this one.

NCAA Football Week 13 Betting Picks

But the Tide hasn’t covered a point spread since October, and they won’t cover here either. Take the Tigers and the points.

No. 13 Notre Dame at No. 5 USC (-5.5)

Thanks to Michigan and Ohio State, we know that one of the top four teams is going to lose on Saturday. And there is USC, poised to take the loser’s spot and play their way into the NCAA Football Playoff.

Step One in that plan is to beat the rival Irish from Notre Dame, which they will do by more than a touchdown.

Kansas at No. 15 Kansas State (-12)

After a 5-0 start, the Kansas Jayhawks season has gone south. They are bowl eligible, but they have lost five of their last six NCAA football games. You know what would end the season on a high note? Beating their Kansas State rivals and keeping the Wildcats out of the Big 12 Championship.

It would be a great end to KU’s season, but their last four losses have all been by double digits, and K-State has everything to play for. The Wildcats win and cover and move on to the Big 12 Championship against TCU.

NCAA Football Week 12 Best Bets

by WagerHome Blog on November 16, 2021

Only two full weeks of the college football season remain, then it’s on to the conference championship games. So be sure to get your NCAA Football Week 12 bets in for this coming Saturday.

No. 7 Michigan State at No. 5 Ohio State (-19)

Both teams are in the top 10, and both are 9-1. Which makes the 19-point spread seem too big on the surface. But when we take a closer look, it might not be high enough.

Ohio State’s lone loss was way back in Week 2 at Oregon. It’s hard to compare who the Buckeyes are now vs. who they were in early September. Michigan State’s lone loss came just two weeks ago, at Purdue. The Spartans lost to Purdue by 11 points, who then went to Columbus the next week and lost to Ohio State by 28.

That 39-point swing between MSU and OSU isn’t a perfect extrapolation, but when you consider that Ohio State has six wins of at least 20 points, and Michigan State has just one, you can begin to see the differences.

In the Big Ten, the Buckeyes are in a league by themselves, and they will beat Michigan State by three touchdowns or more.

No. 11 Baylor (-1) at Kansas State

What does Baylor have to do to get respect? They just knocked off the previously unbeaten Oklahoma Sooners, have a previous win against Texas, and they beat Iowa State, who was ranked 14th at the time.

K-State’s most impressive home win came against West Virginia last week, a team outside the top-50 and one that lost to Baylor by 25 points in Week 6.

Baylor hasn’t been great when playing on the road, but one of their two losses came at top-10 Oklahoma State. One point at the Wildcats just doesn’t seem like enough for a team that is playing its best football of the season. At that small spread, a bet on Baylor comes with great value.

NCAA Football Week 12 Best Bets

No. 13 Wake Forest at Clemson Tigers (-4.5)

Clearly, Clemson isn’t what it was with Trevor Lawrence at quarterback. The Tigers have taken a step back, while Wake Forest has taken a big step forward. The Demon Deacons were below .500 last season. Now they are at the top of the ACC and ranked 13th in the nation.

But Clemson has that 32-game home winning streak, and even though they aren’t in the College Football Playoff picture for the first time since 2015, they are still good. And Clemson Memorial Stadium, better known as Death Valley, is a tough place for any road team to play.

Not only does the 32-game winning streak not end on Saturday, Clemson covers the 4.5-point spread.

Top Five NCAA Football Teams To Bet In Week 13

by WagerHome Blog on November 18, 2019

If you run your own Pay Per Head bookmaking site, or if you just like to bet college football, this is vital information for you. This is the list of our top five college football plays for this week.

Michigan Wolverines (-8) at Indiana Hoosiers

It has the making of a trap game. Michigan just beat Michigan State and has Ohio State on the horizon. But even though this isn’t a rivalry game, the Wolverines will continue to dominate.

Their last three wins have been by 34, 31, and 31 points. Expect them to keep rolling in this one and win big over Indiana and improve to 7-4 against the spread.

UCLA Bruins (+13) at USC Trojans

UCLA was terrible to start the season, but it has now won three of four Pac-12 games, and Chip Kelly’s job appears to be safe. The Bruins were beaten up pretty badly by Utah, but I expect a bounce back in the battle of Los Angeles.

The Bruins beat USC outright last year, and getting 13 points for this season’s battle is too much to pass up. USC drops to 6-6 ATS after this week’s tight cross-town rivalry.

Oklahoma State Cowboys (-7.5) at West Virginia Mountaineers

West Virginia has been up and down all season when it comes to performing against the spread at 4-5-1. And at home, the Mountaineers have covered the spread just once.

On the other side, Oklahoma State continues to provide great value at 8-2 ATS, which includes a 4-1 mark on the road. For that reason alone, lay the points and take the Cowboys.

Penn State Nittany Lions at Ohio State Buckeyes (-18.5)

Ohio State’s offense is one of the surest bets in the country, having topped the 50-point mark five times so far this season. Penn State will be the highest-ranked team they’ve faced so far, but the Buckeyes haven’t had a margin of victory below 24 points yet this season.

At 8-2 against the spread and cruising to a possible spot in the College Football Playoff, Ohio State keeps its foot on that gas and wins this game by at least three touchdowns.

Texas A&M Aggies (+13.5) at Georgia Bulldogs

Even though it has lost a game this season, Georgia is also eyeing the possibility of making it into the College Football Playoff. The Bulldogs have clinched the SEC East and have already punched their ticket for the conference title game but are banged up on offense. They may be in line for a bit of a letdown as they try and get healthy for postseason play.

Meanwhile, since losing to Alabama in October, the Aggies have been rolling, with four straight wins and a 30-6 thumping of South Carolina, the team that gave Georgia its lone loss. I don’t think Texas A&M has enough to win this game, but I do think it has an excellent chance to cover the spread. Take the points.

These are the games I’m playing this week, and the teams your PPH clients are likely to play. And if you don’t yet have your own Pay Per Head site, remember that you can sign up for one at WagerHome.com and get four free weeks.
