NCAA Football Week 11 Betting Picks

by WagerHome Blog on November 8, 2022

The first NCAA Football Playoff rankings didn’t last very long. No. 1 Tennessee was a big loser to Georgia, No. 4 Clemson was upset by Notre Dame, and No. 6 Alabama took its second loss of the year, all but eliminating the Crimson Tide from CFP contention.

The first year of the CFP was 2014, and every year since has included either Clemson, Oklahoma, or Alabama. For the Tide, this would be just the second CFP without their participation.

No. 7 LSU (-3) at Arkansas

LSU is the latest to knock off Alabama, and the win for the Tigers has them on top of the SEC West with only two conference games left to play, Arkansas this week and Texas A&M to close the NCAA football season on Thanksgiving weekend.

If LSU can play its way into an SEC Championship, it would be a College Football Playoff participant for the first time since they won the National Championship and Joe Burrow beat Trevor Lawrence three years ago. The Tigers get themselves started down that path with a win and cover in Fayetteville.

No. 10 Alabama at No. 11 Ole Miss (+11.5)

Mississippi could still catch LSU in the SEC West, but since they lost straight up against the Tigers three weeks ago, they will need to win out and hope that LSU drops a game. Winning out means they must beat Arkansas, Mississippi State, and Alabama this Saturday.

NCAA Football Week 11 Betting Picks

The Crimson Tide were humbled for a second time this season, but they are still one of the top NCAA football teams in the country. They will win on Saturday but fail to cover.

No. 4 TCU (+7) at No. 18 Texas

TCU is unbeaten at 9-0, and they have climbed from an unranked team to the No. 4 team in the country, and they played four ranked teams in consecutive weeks and beat all four. Yet they go to Austin as touchdown underdogs. That’s not a fair assessment of a team that just keeps finding a way to win.

The Horned Frogs may see their CFP hopes dashed against Texas, but they will play them to the very end. Look for TCU to cover.

No. 15 North Carolina (+3.5) at Wake Forest

Clemson’s loss last week to Notre Dame doesn’t hurt them in the ACC, but it does show their vulnerability for a potential ACC Championship matchup against North Carolina. UNC leads the Coastal division at 5-0, and they just need to take care of business, which includes Saturday at Wake Forest.

The Demon Deacons are the NCAA football favorites, but they’ve also lost two straight games. This is going to be one of the highest-scoring games of the week, and in the end, North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye continues his incredible season and wins it for the Heels.

Final Four NCAA Betting Picks

by WagerHome Blog on March 30, 2022

If you love the traditional powers of college basketball, this is your dream Final Four.

The first coach at Kansas was the inventor of basketball, James Naismith. North Carolina plays its games in the Dean Smith Center, who played at Kansas before becoming a Hall of Fame coach in Chapel Hill.

Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski is the winningest coach in college basketball history. And at Villanova, two-time National Champion Jay Wright is also a Hall of Fame head coach.

It’s the battle of the blue bloods on the bayou.

No. 2 Villanova vs. No. 1 Kansas (-4.5)

If there is a cloud hanging over the Final Four this weekend, it’s the injury suffered by Villanova guard Justin Moore. He tore his Achilles in an Elite Eight win over Houston, and he is out. It’s a big loss for a team that primarily uses a six-man rotation.

In steps, senior Caleb Daniels, who will likely start in Moore’s place. Daniels had 12 points against Houston in the last round, and he has come up huge for the Wildcats in big games this season. He scored 20 in a two-point win over Providence to begin March and added 19 in a one-point win over St. John’s in the Big East Tournament.

Kansas has its own sixth man leading the way in Remy Martin, who was just named Midwest Region Most Outstanding Player. He scored 20 against Creighton and 23 against Providence, and he, along with Ochai Agbaji and Christian Braun, give Kansas the most talented trio of guards in the country.

However, as good as Kansas is, they are average against the spread. The Jayhawks are 19-19 overall ATS and just 2-2 in the NCAA Tournament. Villanova is 20-15-2 ATS on the season and a perfect 4-0 in the tournament.

Final Four NCAA Betting Picks

No. 8 North Carolina vs. No. 2 Duke (-4)

Duke and North Carolina have been battling on the court for over a century, but for the first time in the rivalry’s 257-game history, they are meeting in the NCAA Tournament.

That by itself would make this a game for the ages. But for this Final Four matchup, we get the added storyline of Mike Krzyzewski, the winningest coach in the history of college basketball and in the history of the NCAA Tournament, coaching in his last of 13 career Final Fours.

As for the young men who are chasing their NCAA championship dreams, North Carolina is led by the trio of Armando Bacot, Caleb Love, and Brady Manek. For Duke, its future NBA first-round picks Paolo Banchero, Mark Williams, and AJ Griffin.

Against the spread, North Carolina is 4-0 in the NCAA Tournament and has covered in eight of its last nine. Duke has covered in three straight but failed to cover in the five games before that.

NCAA Football Week 10 Best Bets

by WagerHome Blog on November 2, 2021

As the college football season moves into November, there are still five undefeated teams. And with all five from different conferences, it is conceivable that we could end the year with five unbeaten teams all vying for the four College Football Playoff spots.

That is why impressing on the field at this point in the season is so important and why it gives us a window into NCAA Football Week 10 best bets.

Missouri at No. 1 Georgia (-38)

Missouri is 4-4 and playing to be bowl eligible. And with that incentive, the 38-point spread feels like a huge number for Georgia to cover.

Maybe, but consider these facts. Georgia is 6-2 against the spread this year and has easily covered big spreads against much better teams, like Arkansas and Florida. Missouri did just beat Vanderbilt by nine points, but Georgia beat Vandy by 62.

Finally, even though Missouri has four wins on the season, they are 0-8 against the spread this season. That’s right. Not once, in victory or defeat, have the Tigers covered a spread in 2021.

Unbeaten Georgia will smash Missouri by at least 40 points. Take the Bulldogs and lay the points.

No. 10 Wake Forest (+2.5) at North Carolina

Wake Forest is one of the five unbeaten teams left in the country, yet the Deacons head into Saturday’s game as underdogs to North Carolina. The Tar Heels do have a great offense led by quarterback Sam Howell, but the Heels are just 4-4 and haven’t fared well of late.

Wake Forest rolls into the game, coming off a 38-point win against Duke. UNC is coming off a 10-point loss to Notre Dame.

Both teams recorded big wins over Duke, but against another shared opponent, Wake beat Florida State by 21, and the Heels lost to the Noles by 10.

It’s true that Wake Forest hasn’t won at Chapel Hill since 2006, but that streak ends on Saturday. Take the Demon Deacons and the points.

NCAA Football Week 10 Best Bets

No. 12 Auburn at No. 13 Texas A&M (-4)

The only game this week between ranked teams is an SEC showdown between the best of the second tier in that conference. The top tier is, of course, Georgia and Alabama.

Although Alabama plays a big role in where you should put your betting dollars on Saturday. The reason Alabama isn’t No. 1 in the nation and undefeated is because of these Texas A&M Aggies and their three-point upset victory on October 9th. Since then, the Aggies have had impressive covers against Missouri and South Carolina, winning by 21 and 30 points.

Auburn is no slouch, with a big cover against Arkansas three weeks ago. But at home at Kyle Field, the Aggies will prove to be too much. A&M wins by a touchdown and covers this spread.
