Quaker State 400 Betting Preview

by WagerHome Blog on July 7, 2021

The NASCAR Cup Series is back in Atlanta for the second time this season with the Quaker State 400. And for the last time, they will be racing on the oldest surface on the circuit. The last time the track at Atlanta Motor Speedway was resurfaced was 1997, and after this Sunday’s race, there will be major changes coming.

New and improved asphalt is a big part of the construction project, but also coming to AMS are new widths and banking angles. Currently, the track is 55 feet wide throughout. When construction starts next week, it will be narrowed to 52 feet on the front stretch, 42 feet on that back, and 40 feet in the turns. And those turns are going from 24 degrees of bank up to 28 degrees.

This year’s configuration of the speedway or next year’s, there is one favorite that everyone is watching.

Favorites to Win Quaker State 400

  • Kyle Larson (+200)
  • Kyle Busch (+750)
  • Kevin Harvick (+800)
  • Chase Elliott (+800)
  • Denny Hamlin (+900)
  • Ryan Blaney (+1000)
  • Martin Truex, Jr. (+1000)
  • William Byron (+1200)
  • Joey Logano (+1200)
  • Brad Keselowski (+1200)

The biggest headline involving Kyle Larson last week is that he didn’t win. But it was a road race, so he wasn’t the favorite. Now that we’re back on a speedway, he is once again the driver to beat. When the Cup Series first stopped in Atlanta in March, he was paying +650 and finished second. Since then, he has four wins and four second-place finishes, and he’s now paying +200.

The other Kyle is also drawing some betting heat for this weekend. Kyle Busch has finished in the top-three in each of the last three races, including a win at the Pocono 350 to end June. He also loves to race in Atlanta, with two wins, seven top-five finishes, and 10 top-10 finishes in 23 career starts. The last time Busch finished outside the top-seven in Atlanta was in 2017.

Chase Elliott is coming off a win at Road America, but so far this season, he’s only won on road courses. And prior to last week, he went three straight races with finishes of 39, 12, and 27. The +800 on Elliott is reflective of his win last week but not of his chances to win on Sunday.

If you’re looking for better value, give Ryan Blaney (+1000) a thought. He was the winner at Atlanta in March, and that followed up a fourth-place finish at the previous Atlanta race in 2020. Blaney was average last week, finishing in 20th. But he was sixth and fifth in two races at Pocono and finished fifth in Texas.

NASCAR Cup Series Road Course at Daytona Betting Preview

by WagerHome Blog on August 13, 2020

Time to go racing at the Go Bowling 235. Normally, the Go Bowling takes place in Watkins Glen, NY. COVID-19, however, had different plans for 2020, so the race has moved from New York to the road course at Daytona.

This is the first-ever NASCAR Cup Series race to be held on the Daytona road course.

A limited number of fans will be in attendance for all four races to be held in Daytona this weekend.

Odds to Win and Finish Top Three

Kevin Harvick is coming off his sixth series win of the season. And the 55th win of his career moved him into 10th place on the NASCAR Cup Series all-time win list.

But despite Harvick’s weekend sweep in Michigan – the first time a driver has won two races in two days since Richard Petty in 1971 – he is not the favorite to win in Daytona.

That honor goes to two-time Go Bowling winner Chase Elliott, at +375 to win and +105 to finish in the top three. The full list of top 10 favorites look like this:

Driver/Odds to Win/Odds for Top Three

  • Chase Elliott/+375/+105
  • Martin Truex, Jr./+400/+115
  • Kevin Harvick/+700/+190
  • Ryan Blaney/+800/+225
  • Kyle Busch/+800/+225
  • Denny Hamlin/+800/+225
  • Brad Keselowski/+1400/+350
  • Joey Logano/+1600/+400
  • Clint Bowyer/+1800/+450
  • Kurt Busch/+2000/+500

Another driver to look at for Sunday is Kyle Busch. He raced on this course at the Rolex 24 and has far more experience with it than the rest of the field.

Since there is no practice or qualifying, and it’s a late addition to the season schedule, Busch’s experience may loom very large.

A good value play is Jimmie Johnson at +4000 to win and +1000 to finish top three. This has been a strange year for the seven-time Cup Series champion. In this, his final year as a full-time NASCAR driver, Johnson has battled near-misses on the track and COVID-19 off of it.

However, the sentimental pick is squarely Ryan Newman (+10000 to win, +2500 top three). In February, just a lap from victory at the Daytona 500, he was involved in a terrifying accident that shook the racing world and left him in the hospital.

daytonaAmazingly, he was able to return after missing only three races, but he’s been struggling since the restart. To win at the track where he nearly lost his life six months ago would be an amazing cap to his 2020 season.

NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 Betting Preview

by WagerHome Blog on July 16, 2020

With the most NASCAR of names – Cole Custer – and the most NASCAR of finishes – a four-wide battle of cars on the races final lap – the racing last weekend in Kentucky turned in our first rookie winner of the season and provided one of the best finishes we’ve ever seen.

It’s also a reminder of how anything can happen in these races, and nothing is set in stone. Custer entered the race ranked 25th in points, and now he is in the playoffs.

NASCAR moves on to Texas for another week of “anything can happen” racing. One thing we do know will happen is that fans will be in the stands.

The infield is off-limits, and masks are required for everyone over 10 years old if social distancing isn’t possible. Souvenir stands will not be open, and concessions must be purchased with a credit card.

But despite those requirements, the racing in Texas will have a much more normal feel now that it comes with a cheering crowd.

Odds for the Field

For the first time since NASCAR instituted the rule that 40 cars could race without qualifying, we had 41 entries for Texas. By draw, the No. 90 car will not compete. As for the rest of the field and the favorites to take the race, here are their odds to win.

  • Kevin Harvick +300
  • Kyle Busch +600
  • Martin Truex, Jr. +800
  • Ryan Blaney +1000
  • Joey Logano +1000
  • Chase Elliott +1000
  • Brad Keselowski +1000
  • Kurt Busch +2500
  • Aric Almirola +2500
  • Alex Bowman +3000
  • Erik Jones +3000
  • Matt DiBenedetto +3000

Two of these lines are of particular interest. Aric Almirola led for 128 laps at Kentucky and won the first stage of that race. Coming off a good performance, the +2500 feels like a value play. Last year at this race, he finished seventh.

Matt DiBenedetto was one of the four cars battling for the win on the final lap last weekend. He’s another driver coming off a top performance, and another line at +3000 that feels like really good value.

Brickyard 400 Betting Preview

by WagerHome Blog on July 2, 2020

Nothing says American racing like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. So how American is it to have a full July 4th weekend of racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway?

The Indy cars will race the road course early on Saturday in the GMR Grand Prix. NASCAR’s Xfinity series takes the same course later on Saturday afternoon for the Pennzoil 150.

Then the big event comes on Sunday, when NASCAR’s Cup series hits the main track for the Brickyard 400.

There won’t be fans in the stands, but you can be sure that people at home having their summer barbecues will be tuning into the entire weekend of racing.

Brickyard 400 History

On the schedule since 1994, the 400 at the Brickyard has gone through several name iterations. This year, as a sign of the times, it is officially called the Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400.

More important are the names taking home the checkered flag. Jeff Gordon won here five times, including the inaugural race in 1994. Jimmie Johnson has finished first four times, all within a span of seven years. Kyle Busch has a pair of wins, as does last year’s winner Kevin Harvick.

Even the great Dale Earnhardt notched a win at this Mecca of American sports racing, taking home the checkered flag in 1995 and recording what still stands as the 2nd fastest time ever run at this event.

It’s worth noting that it is the first time the Brickyard 400 will be raced on July 4th weekend.

Brickyard 400 Odds

The pair of two-time winners – Busch and Harvick – headline the list of favorites for this Sunday’s race.

  • Kevin Harvick +400
  • Kyle Busch +500
  • Denny Hamlin +600
  • Brad Keselowski +650
  • Joey Logano +650
  • Ryan Blaney +1100
  • Martin Truex, Jr. +1100
  • Chase Elliott +1200
  • Clint Bowyer +2200
  • William Byron +2200

brickyard

Since NASCAR restarted its season, Kyle Busch has been the odd man out, having failed to win any of the races since May. On the other hand, Kevin Harvick has three wins, Denny Hamlin has three, and Brad Keselowski has two wins. Keselowski also won the Brickyard 400 in 2018.

If you’re looking for betting deals, you aren’t going to find them here. Of the 11 Cup series races run since things began again on May 17, only six different drivers have claimed wins. Chase Elliott, at +1200, has the longest odds of anyone who has a recent victory.

Pay Per Head Service

Each and every week, NASCAR has given us great sports betting action. And with golf in full swing, European soccer going strong, and the NBA, NHL, and Major League Baseball all set to resume, if you aren’t using a top bookie software provider to enhance your bookmaking business, why not?

For a small price per head, you get your own website while your clients get access to sports and updated odds and lines all across the world. And right now, if you want to see a pay per head demo, sign up at WagerHome.com and get four weeks free of charge.

NASCAR QuikTrip 500 Betting Tips

by WagerHome Blog on June 4, 2020

Without fans in the stands, it might not feel exactly like live racing, but give NASCAR credit for the effort. At this Sunday’s QuikTrip 500 from Atlanta Motor Speedway, NASCAR fans will experience a first – a virtual tailgate party.

Beginning at 1:45 pm Eastern, and taking fans up to the 3 pm race, fans will enjoy live music, interviews with drivers, and behind-the-scenes tours. The race is always one of the more patriotic on the schedule because of its affiliation with Folds of Honor – a non-profit charity that provides educational scholarships to the family members of fallen service members. It will also have a military flyover before it starts.

May Results

As we look ahead to the odds and suggested bets for the QuikTrip 500, it’s always a good idea to take a look back. And doing that, it’s hard to ignore the good fortune that has struck Brad Keselowski.

A winner in extra time at the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, NC, last weekend, he took the checkered flag at the Supermarket Heroes 500 in Bristol after Joey Logano and Chase Elliott crashed with two laps to go.

Keselowski said of the victory, “We kind of got a Christmas present.” But you have to make your own luck too, and it was Keselowski who had himself in position to take advantage of the wreck, and it was Keselowski who held off Clint Bowyer at the very end to take the win.

QuikTrip 500 Odds

They say it’s better to be lucky than good, but with a pair of wins in the last three Cup races, Keselowski has been both. He’s also won two of the last three runnings of this race.

But even after his successes, he is still only the fifth-most likely winner in Atlanta on Sunday. A good bet, perhaps?

NASCAR

Here are the top 10 odds for the race:

  • Kevin Harvick +475
  • Chase Elliott +600
  • Martin Truex, Jr. +700
  • Kyle Busch +700
  • Brad Keselowski +850
  • Joey Logano +850
  • Alex Bowman +850
  • Denny Hamlin +1200
  • Ryan Blaney +1500
  • Jimmie Johnson +1800

A couple of notes about this group. The favorite, Harvick, is always in the mix in Atlanta, with 11 top 10 finishes and more than 100 laps at the front in six of his last eight races there. But, and this is an important but, he only has two career wins in 29 starts.

If you’re looking for more of a longshot, Johnson at +1800 has five career Atlanta wins and another four second-place finishes. And Johnson just finished third at Bristol last weekend, so he and his team are currently running well.

Pay Per Head Software

Before the end of this month, the NASCAR Cup Series will race another six times. So if you are a bookmaker, or have ever thought about starting your own bookmaking business, what are you waiting for?

Now is the time to raise your business to the next level with a pay per head software provider. A partner such as WagerHome.com will provide a customizable website, automatic odds, full client reports, and 24-hour customer service, and all for a nominal cost per customer.

NASCAR Keeps Foot Down With More Betting Action

by WagerHome Blog on May 26, 2020

Everyone, from NASCAR drivers and officials to fans, to television execs, to sports bookmakers and bettors, is anxious to have the grandstands packed again for races. But so far, the racing action happening right now without the fans can only be considered a roaring success.

This last weekend it was the Coca-Cola 600, going off as originally scheduled, and producing one of the craziest nights of racing we’ve seen in a long time. Brad Keselowski began the race at the back of the pack, and with a late caution flag on the second-to-final lap, Keselowski won in overtime.

Finishing at 607.5 miles, the race became the longest in NASCAR history, and the win was Keselowski’s first-ever at the 600.

Up Next: Alsco Uniforms 500

The most delightful aspect of NASCAR’s efforts to make up all previously postponed races is that there is more Cup racing on Wednesday, and also at Charlotte Motor Speedway. At only 500 kilometers (which is just over 300 miles), this will be far more of a sprint than what we just saw.

So far, the Cup Series’ mid-week races have been a huge hit among fans and drivers alike, and it’s actually been talked about in the past as a way to condense the season. Currently, NASCAR kicks off in February with the Daytona 500 and doesn’t finish the year until November.

If the Wednesday night’s television numbers hold – and there’s no reason to think they won’t this week at the Alsco Uniforms 500 – there will be serious talk about keeping weekday racing on the schedule, even after everything else returns to normal.

Food City 500 in Bristol

From Charlotte, the teams will head to Tennessee and the much shorter track at the Bristol Motor Speedway. Five hundred laps, but just 266 miles, coming Sunday. It’s a race course known for winning streaks.

nascar

In the 1970s, Cale Yarborough won four in a row, while Darrell Waltrip dominated the 80s with a seven-race win streak. In the 90s, it was Jeff Gordon taking the checkered flag four straight times at the Food City 500. And currently, it is Kyle Busch going for his third consecutive victory in the race.

The competition for Busch will be fierce, with brother Kurt Busch a six-time winner at Bristol, three-time Bristol winner Matt Kenseth, and two-time Food City 500 winner Jimmie Johnson – fresh off his disqualification at the 600 in Charlotte – all vying for the top spot.

Pay Per Head Software

If you haven’t yet used a pay per head software provider to capitalize on the return of NASCAR and its packed schedule of high-quality racing, now is the time to act. Get a customizable website, 24-hour support for your clients, individual client reports, and fully automated odds.

Your bookmaking business survived the two months without sports. Now that a busy summer schedule is upon us, make it thrive by teaming up with WagerHome.com. Try it now for four weeks, absolutely free.
