Plenty of Big Soccer Tournaments

by WagerHome Blog on July 3, 2024

July is typically a slow month in the world of sports, but that definitely isn’t the case this year thanks to soccer. There might not be a World Cup taking place, but there are a number of soccer tournaments taking place around the world.

The UEFA Euro Championship is one of the top tournaments taking place, but that can also be said by Copa America. Both of those fields are starting to get whittle down a bit, but there will still be plenty of big action on tap.

Not only are these soccer tournaments going to provide a ton of excitement, but there will also be good betting options for each event. Here is a look at where things currently stand, and how you can go about becoming your own bookie.

Team USA Out of Copa America

The 2024 Copa America tournament is taking place in the United States, and this a tournament from teams that play in North or South America. While the bracket stage is going to get going this weekend, there will be one team that is out of the mix.

Team USA suffered two losses in group stage to Panama and Uruguay, and that was a massive surprise. This team was not one of the betting favorites to win the tournament, but they should have been able to advance to the bracket.

This should be a great tournament to watch, and you can both bet or accept wagers on this tournament moving forward.

Germany Looking Good in UEFA

The UEFA European Championship is currently taking place as well, and we have already reached the quarterfinal round. This is a tournament that features some of the best teams in the world, and that was seen in group stage already.

Germany is one team to watch in this event, even though Spain and England are currently the betting favorites. There is a chance to cash in when betting on the UEFA European Championship, and you should also look to accept bets on the event.

This tournament might be taking place in Europe, but it has a massive following throughout the world.

Get to WagerHome

If you have any desire to become your own bookie then you are going to want to get to WagerHome.com right away. That is a website that has been helping potential bookies take the first step, and it’s important to get a PayPerHead site up and running.

There are certainly some other steps to becoming your own bookie, but everything is going to start and end with getting your PPH site up and running. If you are able to get this site going right away then you will be all ready when the schedule gets packed again.

MLB

Some Great MLB Bets

Baseball betting is extremely underrated, and it’s something that most completely forget about at times. One nice thing about MLB betting is that there are at least a dozen games taking place every single day.

Another great thing about MLB action is that live betting is king because the pace of play is slow enough that you are able to get some wagers in. Live betting has really become popular, but there is enough down time that it allows for those bets to be accepted.

Betting the run line is another great option when it comes to MLB games as that only requires the winning team to win by at least two runs. Prop betting is another great feature of betting on the MLB, and there is a chance to offer many props each game.

Instead of looking for these betting options, now is the perfect time for you to start accepting the wagers yourself. If you become your own bookie then you can decide what betting options you want to offer, and what those odds will look like.

Get Started Today

The best time of year when it comes to being your own bookie is during the football season, and that time is coming fast. You don’t want to wait until football season though as you will be missing out on some great opportunities to make some money.

It’s easier than ever to become your own bookie as well as WagerHome.comis ready and willing to get this process started for you. WagerHome wants to help you, and they provide the tools and resources to get your PPH site up and running.

Making Communication Between You and Your Clients Easier

by WagerHome Blog on May 4, 2022

When you own a small business, no matter what the industry, being able to perform efficient communication between you and customers is key. Being able to understand their needs, so you are better equipped to meet those needs is what defines success.

In a static industry, communication is important. In a dynamic industry like sports gaming, it can be everything. Trends change in the industry, which changes the needs and desires of your customers, which you only know about if you are able to adequately keep open the lines of communication.

WagerHome’s Answer to Changing Client Desires

As with the growing desire for live and in-play wagering, WagerHome was at the forefront of making sure that our platform, and the one you and your clients rely upon, was updated to meet those changing needs. The trend in the industry changed, and because WagerHome made the change with it, your clients never missed a beat.

But if the changing needs and desires aren’t on such a macro level, like in-play wagering, but are limited to a small group of your players, or even a single player, how can you keep up? How can you make sure they don’t go unnoticed?

Making Communication Between You and Your Clients Easier

That is why WagerHome’s client interface now comes with a private messaging system that allows you to speak with each of your clients on a one-to-one basis. You can still communicate with all of them with company-wide announcements that will keep them all abreast of any changes you are making.

But in helping you to keep abreast of the changing desires that they have, now you have the ability to speak with them as individuals.

The Messaging Difference

Everything WagerHome does is geared toward making your business more profitable, which is why along with giving you your own website, customizable client reports, and full-service customer support, we give you an easy way to talk to the people who make your business.

You give your clients access to 24-hour sports betting, casino betting, and horse racing, and giving them a fast and easy way to communicate is only natural.

You know that your players are all very different. Desires in sports are different, and they come with different budgets.

There are also different skill levels in how they approach sports betting. That is why we allow for a full customization in what you offer as a bookmaker, both collectively to your clients as well as individually.

Being able to communicate with them as individuals is key in making this happen.

Messaging Security

Confidentiality is key in any business discussion, but especially in an industry that features so many clients that want privacy. You can be sure that with WagerHome’s dedication to keeping all of your and your client’s information secure, we do the same with all communications you have with those clients.

The same engineering and IT team that built our seven-layer DDOS protection, keeping your financial information out of the hands of hackers, built our private messaging system.

Use WagerHome’s messaging system to speak with your clients, and use it knowing that everything you say is private and protected.

More Player Options Means More Profit

by WagerHome Blog on May 3, 2022

One of the biggest hurdles to being a successful independent bookmaker is the lack of options that you can offer your customers when you are running a one-person shop.

Too many options, like sports and betting types, can become overwhelming. So you keep it manageable, which eventually makes it really hard to keep your customers.

This is why in today’s expanding sports betting landscape when your customers have multiple sportsbook options a click of a button away, the only way to stay in business is by partnering with a top pay per head software provider like WagerHome.com.

A Full Sportsbook at Their Fingertips

You’re in this business because you love sports and sports betting, and that’s why your clients are with you. So make sure and give them the most complete sportsbook experience anywhere in the industry.

With WagerHome, your clients will have access to up to 80 different sports leagues across the world and the many sports betting options that those provide.

With an easy-to-understand betting platform, novice bettors feel right at home. But with a full slate of sports and betting options from every time zone on the planet, your veteran bettors will never get bored.

Two Types of Live Betting

If your veteran bettors do get bored, they simply aren’t trying. When you are partnered with WagerHome, you get not one but two types of live betting to offer your clients.

With WagerHome’s standard service, each of your clients has access to commercial live betting and all the many ways that a player can take advantage of in-play and in-game wagering.

And with the premium service, which is just $3 a month more per person, they all get access to WagerHome’s proprietary EZ Live betting and the 1000s of live events that can be wagered through that.

More Player Options Means More Profit

Esports Betting

Many of the big chain sportsbooks don’t even offer it, and certainly, it’s hard to find in the pay per head world. But with WagerHome.com, you can offer your clients the best in esports wagering.

From CS:GO to Dota2, the fastest growing sport in the world that has leagues and tournaments all across the globe, is yours to offer to each of your clients.

Online and Live Dealer Casino

Opening multiple revenue streams is the name of the game, but with just the one partnership with WagerHome, you also become the manager of your own casino.

The standard membership comes with 24/7 access to WagerHome’s huge online casino, as well as the live dealer games featured in Blackjack, Roulette, and Baccarat.

The WagerHome platform is fast enough and nimble enough for multiple live dealer games to be played at the same time and with absolutely no lag. And the casino is large enough that your customers will have access to a huge selection of slot machines and table games, and they will always have something new to play.

Add in WagerHome’s worldwide racebook, and there is nothing in the gaming world that you can’t offer your customers.

Kentucky Derby 2021: Favorites, Darkhorses, and Underdogs

by WagerHome Blog on April 29, 2021

Nothing signals that summer is right around the corner like the May tradition of the Kentucky Derby. So get your mint juleps made, put on your fancy hat, and get ready for the best horse race of the year.

Kentucky Derby Positions and Odds

  1. Known Agenda (6-1)
  2. Like the King (50-1)
  3. Brooklyn Strong (50-1)
  4. Keepmeinmind (50-1)
  5. Sainthood (50-1)
  6. O Besos (20-1)
  7. Mandaloun (15-1)
  8. Medina Spirit (15-1)
  9. Hot Rod Charlie (8-1)
  10. Midnight Bourbon (20-1)
  11. Dynamic One (20-1)
  12. Helium (50-1)
  13. Hidden Stash (50-1)
  14. Essential Quality (2-1)
  15. Rock Your World (5-1)
  16. King Fury (20-1)
  17. Highly Motivated (10-1)
  18. Super Stock (30-1)
  19. Soup and Sandwich (30-1)
  20. Bourbonic (30-1)

Running in the middle from the 14th position is the odds on favorite, Essential Quality. According to the oddsmakers, this is his race to lose. He’s had success at Churchill Downs, with a win at the Blue Grass Stakes and Breeders’ Futurity, and it’s worth noting that the betting favorite has finished either first or second in eight of the last ten Triple Crown races.

Running next to Essential Quality is a turf horse turned dirt, Rock Your World. Suppose you are looking for a favorite that isn’t THE favorite, then you can’t do much better. He ran at the Santa Anita Derby on April 3 and absolutely dominated the field, running from the front the majority of the race and cruising to a pull-away win.Kentucky Derby

Darkhorse Candidates

It is Kentucky, and the mint julep is made with bourbon, so keep an eye on Midnight Bourbon, running at 20-1. He’s looked great in workouts and is being ridden by Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith.

Another of the Kentucky whiskey-named horses is Bourbonic, running at 30-1. Posted on the outside, he will be free of traffic, and no doubt trainer Todd Pletcher, a two-time winner at the Derby, will have him ready to run. He also just won the Wood Memorial to begin the month of April at 72-1, so don’t expect Saturday’s odds to bother jockey Kendrick Carmouche.

Underdogs

You never go in expecting a win from the longest of shots, but there are a few that could sneak onto the board.

Paying 50-1, Helium was a victor at the Grade 2 Tampa Bay Derby back in March. He hasn’t been tested much, but he’s trained by Mark Casse, who always has his horses properly conditioned.

Another Todd Pletcher trained horse is Sainthood, on the board at 50-1. In his most recent race, he finished in second place at the Grade 3 Jeff Ruby Steaks but was closing at the finish and showed real promise for the future.

Pay Per Head Software

It’s Kentucky Derby weekend! Plus, the NBA and NHL Playoffs are just around the corner. What is Pay Per Head?

by WagerHome Blog on April 23, 2021

If you are an independent bookmaker, then you need to know about the many perks that pay per head software provides. PPH providers, in essence, an outsourcing service. Your bookmaking business remains yours. You are still the boss. But you are no longer responsible for the many administrative tasks that can take time away from expanding your business.

Just the financial transactions of bookmaking can be a full-time job. Add in keeping track of odds, sports, clients, working as your own customer service agent, and everything else, and it’s like having two full-time jobs.

But when you sign on with a pay per head software provider like WagerHome.com, all of those duties become theirs. They handle all bets and payouts, automatically update the odds, deliver detailed client reports, and give you your own customizable website.

And the business ownership remains yours.

Why Your Clients Will Love It

As an independent bookmaker, you are in the customer service business. Your clients have other options, so you need to give them the best betting service available to keep them happy and keep them loyal.

No longer will a bet not be placed because they couldn’t get a hold of you. Now your clients will have access to dynamic lines that reflect the latest news and betting trends, making sure they are betting with the most up-to-date odds. And with WagerHome.com as your provider, your clients will access to WagerHome’s huge menu of available sports and bets, as well as EZ live betting.

Add in the peace of mind of working with a company that features the latest in encryption software and security, plus all of the possible banking options that are provided by larger companies, and your clients will feel like they are betting with a top-of-the-line sportsbook but one that still gives them your personal touch.

Why You as a Bookmaker Will Love It

Making your clients happy is important. But it’s a tough call to make if their happiness makes your life harder. Fortunately, at WagerHome.com, it’s a win-win scenario for both the client and the bookie.

Think about the capital required to build a website dynamic enough to handle changing odds from around the world and the many bets from your clients. And also the cost to employ a team of technical experts to handle the inevitable problems that will come your website’s way.

The PPH provider handles all of that.

Think of the time you take in keeping records on your clients’ betting habits, so you can adjust your offerings to meet their needs. The bookkeeping you must do to keep track of the money coming in and the money going out. Then think of the time you take out of your life to make yourself available to answer your clients’ calls.

WagerHome.com takes care of all of it.

And when you sign up for WagerHome.com’s pay per head service, you are given your first four weeks absolutely free.

Dixie Vodka 400 NASCAR Betting Preview

by WagerHome Blog on February 24, 2021

If you’ve been betting the favorites at the start of the 2021 NASCAR season, you haven’t done well. Michael McDowell, a +10000 longshot, drove to victory at Daytona and won his first race in 358 career Cup Series starts. A week later, on the road course at Daytona, it was Christopher Bell, at +6000, winning the O’Reilly Auto Parts 253 for his first-ever Cup Series win. These longshot winners have revealed an exciting trend that we hope continues at the Dixie Vodka 400 as we survey the field of contenders.

So when will things go to form? Is this the week the favorites actually complete the task?

Dixie Vodka 400 Favorites

Here are the top-10 favorites to win the Dixie Vodka 400 with odds to both win the race and finish top-3.

  • Denny Hamlin (+500/+140)
  • Chase Elliott (+600/+175)
  • Kevin Harvick (+600/+175)
  • Martin Truex, Jr. (+700/+200)
  • Kyle Larson (+800/+225)
  • Kyle Busch (+1000/+275)
  • Joey Logano (+1000/+275)
  • Brad Keselowski (+1300/+375)
  • Ryan Blaney (+1600+450)
  • Tyler Reddick (+2200/+550)

Denny Hamlin is the defending champion here at the Dixie Vodka 400, and he finished 5th at the 500 and 3rd on the road course. He is a solid favorite to win this race and the safest of all the bets.

Joey Logano was a winner at Homestead in 2018, and he’s finished at least 6th or higher in five of his last six starts here. He’s also been an eyelash away from victory in the first two races this season. Logano was leading with just two laps to go on the road course before he was passed by Bell. He was leading on the final lap at the 500 before he and Brad Keselowski collided, allowing McDowell to sneak in for the win.

Ryan Blaney has struggled to begin the season. He finished 30th at the 500 and 15th on the road course. His last time out at Homestead, however, he finished 3rd. And at +1600, he presents a really nice potential payday.

Others to Watch

Just outside the top-10 at 14th on the odds list is Austin Dillon, paying +2500 to win and +1000 to finish top-3. In his last two races at Homestead, he finished in 7th place and 8th place. He’s been running great this month, with a win at the Bluegreen Vacations Duel 2 and a 3rd place finish at the Daytona 500.

And what are the odds that Christopher Bell wins a second straight Cup Series race? As a winner, he is paying +2800 and +700 to finish top-3. Not only did he just win, but he was also good at Homestead in his one career start there. In 2020 he started the race in 36th but finished the race in 8th place.

Pay Per Head Software

Each and every NASCAR race comes with a whole host of betting options, and if you partner with a top pay-per-head software provider, like WagerHome.com, you get access to their huge menu of sports and wager types.

First Look at 2021 NFL Draft

by WagerHome Blog on February 23, 2021

We are still a couple of weeks away from the NFL’s new season and the start of free agency. So while we wait for the offseason to kick in, it’s never too early to look ahead to the NFL’s version of Christmas Day – the NFL Draft.

After last year’s event that was done virtually, the city of Cleveland is moving forward with plans to host an in-person draft this year, beginning on April 29th.

The Second Quarterback Drafted

There isn’t any question as to which quarterback is going first. Talking heads are trying to drum up drama, but in the end, it will be Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence. Be it Jacksonville or someone else who has traded up, he will be the top overall pick. But which of the signal callers is going next?

  • Zach Wilson (-188)
  • Justin Fields (+140)
  • Trey Lance (+200)
  • Mac Jones (+1200)
  • Trevor Lawrence (+3300)
  • Kyle Trask (+6600)

Zach Wilson is the biggest riser of late, as the talk shifts to the struggles of Justin Fields in bigger games. But the legitimate criticism of this line of thinking is that Wilson never really played a big game. The best team he played this year was a loss to Coastal Carolina, and it was his worst game of the year.

One betting note, Lawrence pays +3300 if instead of going first, he goes second.

Offensive Line

  • Penei Sewell (-1200)
  • Rashawn Slater (+333)
  • Alijah Vera-Tucker (+450)

Oregon’s Penei Sewell is the obvious choice to go first here. He is a game wrecker who many people think will be just as valuable as Trevor Lawrence.

Running Back

  • Travis Etienne (-225)
  • Najee Harris (+150)
  • Javonte Williams (+800)

Along with the top quarterback, Clemson is the favorite to have the top running back off the board. Travis Etienne saw his rushing production drop significantly this season after breaking 1,600 in both 2018 and 2019. But he did catch 48 passes as a senior, showing he can be a three-down back.

Alabama’s Najee Harris scored 26 touchdowns in 2020, and he has the advantage of an Alabama pedigree. Current Tide running backs in the NFL include Derrick Henry, Josh Jacobs, Kenyan Drake, and Damien Harris.

Wide Receiver

  • DeVonta Smith (-133)
  • JaMarr Chase (-105)
  • Jaylen Waddle (+450)
  • Rondale Moore (+550)

If it feels like Alabama has all the talent, it’s because they do. Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith is the slight favorite to go first, just ahead of LSU’s JaMarr Chase. Chase sat out in 2020, but in 2019, he was the best wide receiver in the nation.

Pay Per Head Software

Betting on the NFL Draft comes with so many possible options. When an independent bookmaker works with a top pay-per-head software provider, the vast menu of included wagers covers the entire betting world. With WagerHome.com, you get that access, your own customizable website, and EZ Live betting for true in-play wagering. Get a demo today at WagerHome.com.

College Football Championship Saturday Betting Picks

by WagerHome Blog on December 17, 2020

There were false starts, cancellations, postponements, and held breaths for most of the college football season. But here we are. We made it. The weekend of conference championship games is ready to kick off.

Big 12 – Oklahoma Sooners (-5.5) vs. Iowa State Cyclones

Iowa State beat Oklahoma the first time these two teams met, 37-30. Since that loss, Oklahoma has won six straight games, and they’ve gone 5-1 against the spread over that streak. Meanwhile, the Cyclones have won five straight and covered the spread in each of their last three wins.

This will be a high scoring game, but close. And with a game likely to finish inside a touchdown, the safe bet is to take the points. Sooners will win but will not cover.

Big Ten – Northwestern Wildcats vs. Ohio State Buckeyes (-20.5)

COVID-19 almost knocked Ohio State out of this game, and it wasn’t even their own positive tests. But the Big Ten ultimately righted that wrong, changed its rules, and put its best team in the conference’s championship game.

Northwestern is no push-over. They’ve had a great and balanced offense all season and earned their way into Championship Saturday by giving up just 14 points per game. Northwestern hasn’t advanced enough to win this game, but they will keep the margin under 20. Take the points.

SEC – Alabama Crimson Tide (-17) vs. Florida Gators

In the 29 year history of the SEC Championship, the Alabama Crimson Tide have been in the game 13 times. They’ve won it eight previous times, and this will be their ninth win. Florida needs this game for any chance to be considered for the College Football Playoff, but they will fall short.

Florida has a great passing attack that will find some success. But Alabama has covered the spread in six straight games, and this will be a seventh. Take the Tide and lay the points.

ACC – Clemson Tigers (-10.5) vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

These two teams met earlier in the college football season, with Notre Dame winning in overtime, 47-40. But there was no Trevor Lawrence in that game. Of course, Lawrence doesn’t play defense, and the Irish had their way with the Tiger defense, topping 500 total yards.

Lawrence will be the difference in the rematch, and the Tigers should win their sixth straight ACC Championship. But Notre Dame hasn’t lost a game by double digits in more than 14 months, and the Irish offense is good enough to stay close to anyone.

Take the points. Clemson will fail to cover.

Pay Per Head Software

With the college football championship games here, the bowl season and playoffs are just around the corner. Independent bookmakers who want to capitalize on the soon to be crowded college football schedule know that a pay per head software partnership is the best way to maximize profits.

Get your own website, a choice of sports and betting options, and give your customers access to a 24/7 online casino. Get a demo today at WagerHome.com, and your first four weeks free.
